The members of the Retro Barbershop Quartet have a wealth of singing experience between them, gained in a variety of music groups including choirs and amateur operatics groups.The quartet's  repertoire includes swing ("You're Nobody Til Somebody Loves You") and sweet ballads ("Always"), and classic oldies ("As Time Goes By"). 
Retro entertains at a wide variety of functions, including corporate events, charity functions, weddings, and private parties. Most of these are the Derbys/Leics/Notts area, but some are further afield. 
The quartet is registered with the British Association of Barbershop Singers. It ranks as one of the leading British quartets, having reached the semi-final of the British Quartet Championship on several occasions, and it won the bronze medal in the 2008 International Quartet Championship held in Ireland.
