The members of the Retro Barbershop Quartet have a wealth of singing experience between them, gained in a variety of music groups including choirs and amateur operatics groups.The quartet's extensive repertoire includes classic swing ("Come Fly With Me"), ballads ("I Only Have Eyes For You"), spirituals ("Gospel Medley"), and doo wop ("Goodnight Sweetheart"). 
Retro entertains at a wide variety of functions, including corporate events, charity functions, weddings, and private parties. Most of these are the Derbys/Leics/Notts area, but some are further afield. 
The quartet is registered with the British Association of Barbershop Singers. It ranks as one of the leading British quartets, having reached the final of the British Quartet Championship in May 2009, and won the bronze medal in the 2008 International Quartet Championship held in Ireland.
